Not everyone loves the flavour of lemon. It’s too tart for some. Certainly those who do enjoy the tart, yet refreshing taste, will agree that the lemon cupcake fully deserves its day for recognition.

Movember Chili Dinner Today at the Peach King!
Join us today 4:30pm – 7:00pm for the last day of Movember at the Peach King Centre, 162 Livingston Ave, Grimsby. Featuring amazing beef and vegetarian chili, drinks provided by Pepsi, brownies, coffee, and tea, prizes, raffle, plank-off competition and moustache shave-off provided by Brooke’s Barber Den for all Mo Bros who grew that awesome ‘stache all month.

Children 10 and under: $7
All proceeds go to the Movember Foundation.
End of The Fall Yoga Challenge Celebration this Wednesday!
Our Fall Yoga Challenge ends Tuesday October 21st! On Wednesday, to celebrate, we will have brownies available at the studio all day and three draws for free One Month Unlimited Yoga Memberships. Two draws for all participants from the ballots submitted for each class and a bonus draw for the top five attendees (not first to finish, but the most visits over the 6 weeks). Any ties for the top 5 spots will be eligible for the bonus draw. It could be close! Hope to see you there and good luck in the draws!
Moment of Frustration Day
Moment of Frustration Day is truly a frustrating day. We believe one of the most imporant reasons for today, is the opportunity to let your frustrations out. If you are not frustrated, count your blessings. Don’t use today to add to your frustrations. And whatever you do today, don’t find new things to be frustrated about.
Are you frustrated? Come on, let it out! We’ve got some suggestions on how to ease that moment of frustration in a harmless, healthy manner. Here are just some of them:
Go for a walk. When faced with a frustrating situation, walk away from the situtation. Time and distance, will often help to eliminate the frustraion. The walk allows you to think about how to resolve it.
Take it outside and yell. Go out the back door, and do a little yelling. We suggest you do it away from others. Afterwards, you will feel much better.
Let your feelings out… If you need to cry, then cry.
Think…. consider what will ease or eliminate those frustrations. How can you resolve the problem?
Talk… let your feelings out to someone you can confide in. If it’s a frustration about a person, talk with them. Let them know how you feel.
Seek help. Use a frined, a family member, or a professional to help you.
Important Note: We encourage you to let your frustrations out in a constructive way, but never in an angered way. Rather, use this day to release frustrations and anger in a safe and sensible manner. Also, drinking and drugs never solve things. They can only make matters worse.

American Touch Tag Day
American Touch Tag Day is a day to play Touch Tag. That’ s right the child’s game of Tag. Touch Tag is probably the most popular child’s game in America. Almost all kids have played some version of it.
We are uncertain as to why this day was titled “American”. Tag has been known by many names, including: Tag, Touch, Touch Tag, It, Chasey, and Catching. The game has been played by children for thousands of years, going back as far as Ancient Egypt. If it was ours to call, we would certainly name this day World Tag Day.
Celebrate American Touch Tag Day today. No matter how old you are, go outside and play Touch Tag…..You’re it!
Sewing Machine Day
Sewing Machine Day celebrates a very important invention —– the sewing machine. The first sewing machines were made in France in the 1830s. It wasn’t until 1846, that they were patented in the U.S. What a great invention. Prior to it’s creation, clothes items were sewn together by hand…stitch by stitch.
People who know how to use a sewing machine are dwindling in number. Our mothers and grandmothers had a sewing machine in the house. They used it, too. But, look around your house. Do you have a sewing machine? Chance are, the answers is no.
If you have a sewing machine, enjoy today making things with it. If not, consider picking up sewing as a hobby.
