Tell a Story Day
Tell a Story Day celebrates story-telling of all kinds. It doesn’t matter if it’s fiction or non-fiction, a tall tale, or folk lore. Today is a day to tell them all. Stories can be from a book, other written material, or from memory.
There are two distinct holidays, one in the U.S. The other is in Scotland and the UK. The latter is by far more prominent and organized. These two holidays are exactly six months apart.
Libraries celebrate this day with story telling hours for kids. You can enjoy today telling stories to your kids, family members, or organizations and groups that you belong to.
Make Tell a Story Day an important and pleasure-filled experience. To enhance the enjoyment of the story, try setting the atmosphere. If it’s an eerie or spooky story, turn down the lights. Bring decorations and memorabilia that speak to the theme. If it’s about a person, display a picture of the individual.
Happy Tell a Story Day!

Evaluate Your Life Day is a bit scary. It sounds just a little bit too serious for my liking. And, what if I evaluate my life, and find out that I don’t like it??
Well, for starters, you can then make positive changes.
Evaluate Your Life Day gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect upon our life, where it’s been, and where it’s going. Are things going well? What is bothering you? What do you need, or want to change? How’s your appearance? Are you gaining too much weight?
With a self evaluation, you can then make big changes to improve the quality of your life, as necessary. Or, if things are going well, just tinker with small adjustments.
We believe that Evaluate Your Life Day is the beginning of a happier and healthier you!
