What is Reiki?

Reiki is a wellness treatment that helps to harmonize the body, mind and spirit by using universal life energy channelled through the reiki practitioner to the client.

It helps to restore energy and balance to the energy centres found within the body.

Chakra CentersWhat are energy centres?

Energy centres are called chakras. There are seven chakras lined up within the body from the pelvic floor to the crown of the head, as shown in the diagram. Each chakra is attached to a physical part of the body and connects the physical being with the spiritual. When there is a block in a chakra the body there will physical and emotional systems that manifest. For example, if someone has a blocked third chakra physically they may feel bloated, suffer chronic fatigue or develop a disorder in the liver, pancreas, stomach or gall bladder. Emotionally, they may notice that they have become dominating, competitive, or arrogant; or they may experience the opposite and notice a lack of energy, the feeling of being submissive and having a low self-esteem. A reiki session can help clear this block and allow your chakra to become balanced again.

Hatha
Gentle Warm Flow
Hot Hatha
Hot Vinyasa Flow
Hatha

Traditional style of yoga. Staying in the poses and working through them as opposed to flowing through the poses. This class is great for all levels and allows you time to learn the poses and work on proper alignment. This class is performed in a regular temperature room.

Hot Hatha Flow

This is a slower paced flow class where we hold poses longer than a regular flow, practiced in a room heated to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This is great for those interested in a flow class with a slower pace.

Hot Hatha

Traditional style of yoga in a room heated to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Staying in the poses and working through them as opposed to flowing through the poses. This class is similar to a regular Hatha class with the added intensity of the heat.

Hot Vinyasa Flow

As you flow in and out of breath your body flows through the movements of the poses. This is a fairly intense class as the room is heated to 100 degrees Fahrenheit using infrared heaters. This allows for a deeper stimulation of the internal organs, and greater flexibility of the muscles. It is recommended that you have some yoga experience prior to trying a hot class.
