End of the Fall Back to Yoga Challenge – Final Prize Draw and Cupcakes!

Well, the Challenge is over…… what a fantastic six weeks we’ve had! Great job everyone! Anyone who successfully completed the challenge (21 classes) is eligible to purchase a one month unlimited at 50% off of your regular membership fee, available until Saturday November 7th. 
Tuesday, fresh yummy cupcakes will be available during all of our evening classes….and we are having one last draw for a one month unlimited membership between evening classes at 8:25pm.

Mo Bros and Mo Sistas Unite!

It’s that time of year again. Movember is fast approaching and we need your help. Last year our Grimsby Yoga Movember team raised $1,374.00. And 2015 is going to be even more fun! Just like last year we will be awarding FREE weeks of yoga for being part of our team and collecting donations. Earn one free week of yoga just for joining our team and earn an additional free week for raising over $25.00 in donations for our team. An additional free week will be awarded to our top Movember team member who collects the most donations. Free weeks must be used within one calender year.

What is Movember?

As an official global charity, Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches around the world. Through the power of the moustache, vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges.

HOW IT WORKS

Movember encourages men to join the movement by growing a moustache for the 30-days of November. After REGISTERING on Movember.com, these generous Mo Bros start the month clean-shaven, then grow and groom their Mo (slang for moustache), asking friends and family to donate to their efforts. With their new moustaches, these Mo Bros act as walking and talking billboards, bringing awareness to men’s health issues and prompting conversations wherever they go.

Movember’s not just for Mo Bros. Mo Sistas are an important part of Movember’s success. Once REGISTERED, Mo Sistas raise funds and encourage the men in their lives to get involved. Essentially, Mo Sistas do everything that Mo Bros do, without a Mo. Learn more about Mo Sistas HERE.

At the end of the month, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrate their Movember journey by throwing their own Movember EVENTS or attending one of the official GALA PARTÉS held around the world.

THE MOVEMBER EFFECT

Movember supports world class MEN’S HEALTH PROGRAMS that combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges. These programs, directed by the Movember Foundation, are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond mental illness and research to achieve our vision of an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.

MOVEMBER – A GLOBAL MOVEMENT

Since its humble beginnings in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia, Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 3 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate across 21 countries worldwide.

In addition, Movember is aware of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas supporting the campaign and men’s health causes across the globe, from Moscow to Rio de Janeiro, and everywhere in between.

In 2012, over 1.1 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas around the world joined the movement, raising CAD $146.6 million.

Movember’s cost focus and economies of scale have resulted in a global fundraising and administration cost to funds raised ratio of 8%. This is well below international fundraising standards, with best practice in the range of 15% – 25%. Exceeding best practice by such a significant amount reflects Movember’s goal of reaching the highest possible campaign outcome while carefully monitoring costs.

Preregistered Beginner’s Yoga

New to yoga? This 8 week series introduces the fundamental hatha yoga poses with an emphasis on proper alignment and breathing techniques. Students will also receive a brief introduction of yoga philosophy and terminology in this class to further their understanding of this ancient practice. For beginners and those wanting a complete refresher of the basics of yoga. Wednesdays 5pm – 6pm, starting September 16th. $120 + hst. Registration deadline: Saturday September 5th. Preregistered Kids’ Yoga

The aim of our classes is to focus on each child’s magnificence. Giving them confidence in who they are as individuals. Each child is given the opportunity to share stories, to be themselves and to show their own uniqueness through the creative movement of yoga. Each class includes yoga, a focus on posture, breathing and relaxation skills. Boys and girls welcome. $96.00 + hst. Unlimited Members save 10%. Sign up today!
